Ghost Of Tsushima surprise free download praised by PlayStation gamers

With the follow-up to the Ghost of Tsushima expected to launch later this year, fans of the original game can celebrate in style with a batch of free downloads courtesy of Sony.

First released back in 2020, Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure title from Sucker Punch Productions and follows the story of samurai Jin Sakai as he sets off on a quest to protect Tsushima Island following the first Mongol invasion of Japan.

The game went on to become an instant hit and was even nominated for Game of the Year at the 2020 Game Awards and although it did not win, fans were still eager for more and were over the moon when Sucker Punch revealed that its sequel, Ghost of Yōtei would be released.

Set to launch on 2 October, Ghost of Yōtei will be a standalone sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, following a brand-new protagonist but following the same premise as the first.

However, ahead of its release, fans can celebrate the game that started it all.

Courtesy of Sucker Punch Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment, fans of Ghost of Tsushima can now celebrate the game’s 5th anniversary by downloading three free PlayStation avatars.

Alongside the caption, fans can now find the three avatars in question as well as the codes to download them to their PlayStation accounts.

The avatars show incredible art of Jin Sakai in various poses and codes to download them vary on region.

This is the perfect way to celebrate Ghost of Tsushima as well as show your anticipation for Ghost of Yōtei when it launches in just a few months for the PlayStation 5.
