Fallout 4's new-gen update is already proving to be unplayable for some users

Uh oh, this is worst than being betrayed by a loved one...

Uranium fever has been in full effect since Amazon’s Fallout aired and blew us all away (no pun intended). Or has it...?

For some fans looking to return to Fallout 4, exploring the Wasteland hasn’t been easy, or even possible.

Ghouls, Mutants, and Vault-dwellers alike have been braving the unique challenges of the post-apocalyptic world, especially since the Fallout 4 new-gen update went live.

Oh yes, it’s been a hot minute, but Bethesda has patched the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

While much of the news surrounding Fallout’s renewed fame has been positive, there are potholes in the road causing some problems for fans. Chiefly, for PS Plus users.

Never played Fallout before, and are unsure where to start? GAMINGbible has got you covered!

There’s a lot of confusion and anger over the Fallout 4 update not being playable for some members, despite them being led to believe the contrary.

Bethesda has tried to clarify things by explaining that only PS Plus Extra users will get the new-gen update. So where does that leave other users?

“I'm in the UK with PS Plus Premium and it's not available for me,” one subscriber revealed. “The game still shows up as £15.99.”

You’d think, given that PS Plus Premium is meant to be... well, premium... that the new update would be waiting there for said user free of charge.

Another user posted, “Same for me, I'm the UK too. I'm annoyed since I sold my Pip-Boy Edition (including game) a few months back since the game was included with PS plus.”

Oh dear. They added, “Guess we've gotta wait some more.”

We’re as in the dark as you.

Bethesda shared yet another post saying, “Fallout 4 next-gen update will be available for PS Plus Extra members. We do not have any information regarding PS5 Catalogue or PS Plus Essentials.”

But that’s it. Hopefully players eventually get the update they were promised, though it seems like wishful thinking – we guess it’s time to watch the world burn and keep saying “okey dokey”.
