Blooborne returns with a new limited edition release, but it’s probably not quite what you’d expect.
Over a decade ago, famed developer FromSoftware released one of the greatest video games of all time, the aforementioned Bloodborne. And yes, it really did launch over 10 years ago on PlayStation 4.
“A lone traveller. A cursed town. A deadly mystery that swallows everything it touches,” reads the synopsis of Bloodborne.
“Face your fears as you enter the decaying city of Yharnam, a forsaken place ravaged by a terrible, all-consuming illness. Scour its darkest shadows, fight for your life with blades and guns and discover secrets that will make your blood run cold – but just might save your skin…”

On the aggregate website Metacritic, Bloodborne scored 92, earning the “Must-Play” accolade and 8.9 from users. However, some could fairly argue that the FromSoftware title should have scored higher on both fronts.
We want more Bloodborne!
Understandably, fans are desperate for more Bloodborne goodness. It’s baffling that after all this time, we’ve never had Bloodborne 2. After all, even the fantastic Dark Souls had a couple of sequels and remasters.
Heck, we can’t even get a new-gen update on PS5, let alone a PC port. But I digress.
I’m about to go into rant mode, so I’ll stop now. At the very least, Bloodborne fans have access to tons of merch, which is a bonus, right?
Speaking of merchandise, fans will soon be able to get hold of what looks to be a stunning piece of artwork from artists Cook and Becker. However, at this time, we’ve only been teased about what the artwork could be.
Judging by the artist’s previous work, it should be quite the eye-catcher. “Dropping a very special limited edition tomorrow, Tuesday 18th of November,” they tweeted.
So, by the time you read this article, there’s a good chance that the full piece of art has been revealed.
Personally, I can't wait to see this artwork in full, so be sure to give its creators a follow on Twitter so that you don't miss out on its big reveal.
Bloodborne is out now on PlayStation 4 and is backwards compatible on PlayStation 5. Sadly, it has no new-gen enhancements.
Hopefully, one day we might actually be treated to a new video game release taking us back to Yarnham, but I wouldn't recommend holding your breath. It's not worth dying over.
