Oh boy, here we go again.

If I had a penny for every time Bloodborne fans got their hopes up only to have them crushed, I’d be a very rich individual.

I respect the dedication though.

Look, I know what it is to clown. I’ve been saying that Taylor Swift will announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) every weekend for the past six months.

Why? Because just like a PlayStation 5 port of Bloodborne, it feels like a guaranteed eventuality.

The question we ask ourselves is ‘When?’, not ‘If?’

Every time a State of Play rolls around, the Bloodborne hype intensifies.

And that mischievous little Astro Bot hasn’t been helping to qualm the hysteria either, dropping Bloodborne Easter eggs at every possible turn.

Now, it’s PlayStation’s Italian social media team that have left Bloodborne fans frothing at the mouth.

ICYMI: Star Wars Outlaws launches later this month. Take a look at our preview below.

The Italian PlayStation Instagram account recently posted a series of images of the game, captioning them, “Scroll to see some of Bloodborne's most iconic locations! A journey through gothic atmospheres and dark mysteries. Which is your favourite?”

That alone isn’t too suspicious.

PlayStation has a tendency to post about Bloodborne all the time, despite otherwise treating it as a dead and gone IP.

The thing here is that the post included an interesting hashtag, #PS5.

As we’re all aware, the game isn’t available on PlayStation 5. That’s what we’re after.

Is this a simple mistake as the game’s PS4 version is backwards compatible on PlayStation 5?

Is it a tease as rumours of a new PlayStation event are swirling?

Is it a simple mistake?

In case you missed it, insiders are claiming that the end of September may mark when the next State of Play is to be held, teasing that it could finally see the PlayStation 5 Pro revealed.

We do still need a release date for LEGO Horizon Adventures too although that could come during tomorrow night’s Opening Night Live at Gamescom.

I have so many questions yet unfortunately, no answers.

The clowning continues, Bloodborne fans.
