Bloodborne 2 may finally be in development

We're on the cusp of greatness

The long-awaited Bloodborne 2 may finally be on the horizon as it’s said there are over 20 new games in the works at FromSoftware’s corporate owner.

While FromSoftware games are published by Bandai Namco, the company itself is owned by a Japanese conglomerate company known as Kadokawa Corporation.

Check out the eerie trailer for Bloodborne below.

The company owns several gaming studios, and recently announced in an earnings call that 26 games are currently in development across its many studios.

Now there’s no confirmation that FromSoftware is working on something Bloodborne-related but now that it’s free from Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree, there’s a good chance it’s revisiting one or more of its most beloved IPs.

Bloodborne has been rumoured to be getting a remaster for the PlayStation 5 for quite some time now, and it’s believed now more than ever that one will happen due to the PlayStation 5 Pro arguably providing the perfect platform for such a project.

So far though, we’ve seen nothing, and the final say on one being made is unfortunately down to PlayStation, which owns the publishing rights.

This would largely be the same for a full-on sequel, but, of course, if one was in development, it’d be a closely guarded secret until it’s time for a reveal.

It’s unclear what FromSoftware could be working on next as it has thrown out some curveballs before like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but given all the hype of Elden Ring, it’d make sense to return to one of its other IPs rather than start a brand-new one.

Take all of this with a big handful of salt as fans have been getting their hopes up for more Bloodborne for years now, and it almost never works.

Mark my words though, one day we’ll see Bloodborne again, either as a remaster or sequel.

It’s just too good of an opportunity to pass up, surely?
