This upcoming mash-up looks a lot like someone just smushed Horizon Zero Dawn and Valheim together… to the point that I’m pretty certain it may lead to some legal action.
You know, when I saw Palworld's gameplay for the first time, I got the very distinct feeling that things weren’t going to end well for the developers.
Well, I’m getting that funny, litigious feeling once again, because today’s example is taking things to the extreme.
LIGHT OF MOTIRAM is an upcoming open world survival crafting game on Steam from developer and publisher POLARIS QUEST, and– oh wow, they aren’t even trying to hide it, huh?

Sometimes, two people just happen to have a very similar idea. Antz and A Bug's Life is a good example. LIGHT OF MOTIRAM and Horizon Zero Dawn is not.
You’re telling me POLARIS QUEST just happened to get the idea for a game set in the future about a post-apocalyptic tribe of warriors who fight robot dinosaurs with bow and arrows, without ever having seen or heard of Horizon Zero Dawn?
Actually, y’know what, I could believe that. What I can’t believe is that they didn’t just straight up rip off all of the designs from Horizon Zero Dawn by accident in the process. C’mon, dude, that’s literally just anime Aloy in the thumbnail on the Steam page. You are fooling nobody.
On the plus side, the gameplay looks a lot different. It looks like more of a Souls-like, in terms of combat, and there’s a big focus on crafting and even catching the “Mechanimals” so you can use them in comba– wait… this is just Palworld.

Are you kidding me? They ripped off Palworld, too? The game that’s being sued by Nintendo for supposedly ripping off Pokémon?
You guys are trying to start a legal battle with Sony AND Nintendo at the same time? Are you out of your mind?!
