The Witcher 3: Flashbacks is a new 'mini expansion' you shouldn't miss

One for fans of the original

The Witcher 3 has a new expansion for you to play, and it’s one for die-hard fans of the original game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now a decade old, and while CD Projekt RED is busy with several upcoming projects in the series, it looks like more content might be coming to the third game.

However, until we know for sure, that won't stop fans from adding to the game with new questlines and stories to expand the world of the games.

Now, a new mod for The Witcher 3 serves to bridge the links between the first and third games with a new quest to play.

'Flashbacks - Something You've Already Seen' is a mod which brings a quest back from the first Witcher game into The Witcher 3.

For those who have played The Witcher, you more than likely remember Shani’s annoying grandma who sits guard in her apartment in Vizima.

It was a simple task of trying to get Grandma to let you go past her, but the quest was infamous for it being notoriously difficult to get on her sweet side.

It was frustrating, but could also lead to some of the funniest moments in the entire game.

Now, modder SieeleLushen has ported the quest to The Witcher 3, in which Grandma is back and just as keen on keeping you out.

The mod uses the same kind of structure as in the original quest, and also features a cutscene with Shani once you manage to get past Grandma.

It also uses the same dialogue audio files from The Witcher, which is pretty obvious in the difference in quality between the voicelines in the mod, and those in the base game.

In addition to The Witcher 3, the mod also requires Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone expansions installed to be playable, so make sure you own them before downloading.
