Skyrim fans are in awe at a massive new expansion launching in the year of our lord 2025.
In its lifetime, Bethesda released several DLCs for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim between 2012 and 2013.
The very excellent Dawnguard and Dragonborn expansions added some much-needed exposition to the world of Tamriel, while the Hearthfire add-on appealed to those who enjoyed the social and economical aspects of the game.

In the years since then, fans have built upon Skyrim’s gameplay with new mods and expansions that continue to build out the world that Bethesda crafted.
One such expansion is The Elder Scrolls: Apotheosis, a “a dark fantasy, story-rich, open world expansion” which is set “across the 17 Planes of Oblivion, and 'Dreamsleeve', in an echo of a fallen world”.
It currently has a six-minute long trailer available to watch on YouTube, which introduces the lore and narrative of the expansion while showing off some of the new assets created for the mod.
It’s essentially inspired a lot by FromSoftware games in terms of tone, as well as the works of manga artist Kentaro Miura. You can check out the trailer by viewing it on YouTube below.
Skyrim and soulsborne fans are loving the trailer, too. Many are sharing their excitement for it in the comments section of the video.

“If I had been shown this trailer without context, I'd have thought this was for a AAA game release,” wrote one user. “Fantastic work to Di0 and the rest of the Apotheosis team.”
“Damn, this along with Skyblivion is going to make 2025 a great year for gaming,” wrote another comment. “Simply incredible work!”
“Wow. Not only does this mod look fantastic, but this trailer is a work of cinema all on it's own,” another wrote. “I love everything about it. I love the visuals. I am completely enamoured by the music. I am so so happy this ended up in my recommended.”
However, it seems like work on the mod has been stalled following some unprecedented events.

Following the 2024 Israeli attacks on Lebanon, the mod’s creator Di0 (a resident of Lebanon) went silent.
He was apparently able to make a post in Discord assuring fans that he was outside of the attack zone, but he has not been seen online since.
Fans are hopeful for his safety and eventual return to online modding. Given the circumstances, it looks like modding is the last thing on his mind.
We here at GAMINGbible share the sentiment and hope that Di0 is doing well.
