Stardew Valley fans can now enjoy a new expansion that is sure to add hundreds of more hours onto their playthroughs.

Although the game already has hundreds of hours of content, there's always going to be those Stardew Valley players who just want more.

Just in case you haven’t had enough of living your perfect farming lifestyle, the Stardew Valley modding community has got your back and delivered a new expansion for you to sink your teeth into.

Lilybrook - A Stardew Valley Expansion is a new mod created by 8BitAlien which adds a whole host of new content and features to the 2016 life sim.

The expansion adds Lilybrook, a neighbouring village of Pelican Town located somewhere nearby. It’s accessible via a short bus ride.

Lilybrook is home to 17 new NPCs with their own dialogue, personalities, events, and (in the case of a few of them) romance possibilities.

8BitAlien has tried to design them as closely to the vanilla NPCs as possible, to make them feel more natural with the rest of the game.

In addition to this, new fish, special orders, forageables, minerals, and artifacts are also present in Lilybrook. If you’re the type of player who enjoys collecting things (and if you’re playing Stardew Valley, you at least don’t have an aversion to it), you should feel right at home with this mod.

There are also new cooking recipes which you can get from befriending the villagers, along with new ingredients which you get from foraging.

All-in-all, this isn’t just a simple mod that adds a new area to explore, but feels like a whole new DLC to play that expands pretty much every facet of Stardew Valley.

If you want to check it out for yourself, you can download it now from Nexus Mods.

While we’re still waiting for Haunted Chocolatier, or whatever update for Stardew Valley might be in the works, it seems like mods like this are the best way of adding new life to the game in the meantime.
