Wait, is this just Starfield with extra steps?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a cool game and all, but you know what would make it better? Lightsabers.

Well then isn’t it handy that someone over on Steam has already made the Elder Scrolls/Star Wars mash-up of your dreams, although it does feel a bit like they’ve just made a cooler version of Bethesda’s actual sci-fi game, Starfield.

Over on the Steam Workshop, Professorxavier has decided to morph Skyrim into something akin to what you’d find in a galaxy far, far away, with their modpack titled Skyrim: The Old Republic.

However, this isn’t just a mash-up of other mods that they’ve found elsewhere. Professorxavier has also done a bit of tweaking to make this a more lore friendly, alongside adding a few quest lines and unique NPCs.

They’ve essentially taken two mods, 'Magicka Sabers' by Davo 101 and 'Star Wars Force Abilities Mod' by avenger86, and combined them into something unique, allowing you to live out the Star Wars fantasy of your dreams… in Skyrim.

You get access to cool lightsabers (obviously) and a bunch of different force powers, alongside some that Professorxavier added to the game themselves, such as Chain Lightning, Force Destruction and Persuasion.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping that they still planned to support the mod (even though they state that it’s “only about 40% complete”), then I have some bad news for you.

Professorxavier announced in a post on the Steam forums that they’re done working on the modlist for now, and don’t plan to come back to it at any point in the future.

That being said, the commenters seem pretty happy with what they’ve got, and it sounds like the only thing that Professorxavier was planning to add were more quests to round everything out, so you’ll still get the full experience as is.
