A fantastic Hogwarts Legacy easter egg looks set to appear in the upcoming HBO live-action series. Some fans are taking it as proof that Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be in the works.
The Harry Potter franchise is one of the most popular brands in entertainment, whether it’s the novels that began it all, the movie adaptations, the plethora of video games or embracing the Wizarding World at venues such as a Warner Bros. Studio Tour.
In respect of the Harry Potter video games, it’s been a mixed bag. Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone on the PS1 has a special place in my heart, the LEGO adaptation is a blast, and 2023’s Hogwarts Legacy is peak Wizarding World in my opinion.
Then we have the not-so-great movie adaptations, and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, released in September 2024, that launched on PS Plus. I bet you’d forgotten that game ever existed, and I can't blame you!

Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game of 2023, and even outsold the great Elden Ring in its first five-weeks of existence. As such, fans are hoping that publisher WB Games capitalises on its success and announces Hogwarts Legacy 2 sooner rather than later.
Has Another Hogwarts Legacy Been Confirmed?
As shared by Reddit user BasketSuspicious3689, images of what looks to be Hogwarts Castle in the upcoming HBO live-action series have been making the social media rounds.
So, why is this version of Hogwarts Castle being linked to Hogwarts Legacy, I hear you ask? Well, the author of the Reddit post mentions that the on-set photos have a striking resemblance to the Hogwarts Castle in Hogwarts Legacy, rather than being inspired by the movie adaptations.

It's difficult to tell without the full context of the on-set images, but at the very least, from the outside, it does look like the greenhouse has a solid resemblance to the one featured in Hogwarts Legacy.
That being said, we'll soon find out what the inside of that location looks like when the HBO series graces us with its presence.
“I honestly find Hogwarts Legacy to be my favourite out of all the iterations I’ve seen,” replied hippogriffjuliet.
“It would be awesome because the Hogwarts Legacy Castle is far enough from the movie ones, yet still keeps the silhouette. It’s also by far the best version of Hogwarts Castle ever,” added Lord_Detleff1.
“I don’t think these are modelled after Hogwarts Legacy. The greenhouse in the second pic shows an exterior door to the greenhouse,” suggested Rayboner, countering the conversation. “Hogwarts Legacy took a lot of liberties with the castle and grounds that weren’t canon to the books, and that’s what the show is supposedly aiming to be better at.”
At the time of writing, a release date for the Harry Potter HBO series hasn't been announced, but many expect it to arrive in 2027. As for Hogwarts Legacy 2, that hasn't been officially announced yet. We’ll keep you posted when new information drops.
