You’ve been waiting a long time to read those words. Not as long as Bloodborne fans, but still, seeing Red Dead Redemption on PC is heartily welcomed.
We’ve been here before, though.
As you’ll recall from earlier this year, we were led to believe that Red Dead Redemption was headed to PC after waiting 14 long years.

Despite that speculation seemingly leading to naught but further disappointment, Rockstar Games fans have never lost hope.
It's time for another round of Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails!
Their patience is now being rewarded in the form of a PS4 emulator.

This isn’t the first time we’ve mentioned shadPS4 – we brought you the news not too long ago while we rejoiced that Bloodborne was finally on PC and looking better than ever.
Before your hopes reach dangerous heights, shadPS4 is still in its infancy and thus we’ve got more waiting to endure before experiences like the OG Red Dead Redemption will be in a fit state to play.
Nonetheless, the fact that it’ll soon be available, and it’ll have enhanced graphics, is cause for celebration.
Even though we’d eventually like to be able to play these classics without the aid of an emulator, that day is too far in the future for us to forego using shadPS4.

Currently, RDR1 can only manage to reach the start menu before the game crashes. However, this is progress indeed even if it doesn’t seem like it. As far as we’re aware, no other emulator on the market can offer the remastered version of the game.
Maybe with greater steps being taken by fans to make a PC port happen, Rockstar will finally reveal plans to port the game itself. We live in hope, however unlikely it seems.
The question on everyone’s lips now is whether the polished version of the shadPS4 RDR1 will be playable before GTA VI launches...
