The title was extremely underlooked when it was first released

One of the best superhero games in recent years has been made free, and it's a game that a lot of people likely missed when it was first released.

Strategy title Marvel's Midnight Suns is currently the free game on the Epic Games Store, and will remain free to keep for the next week as long as you claim it within the validity period.

Marvel's Midnight Suns was first released in December 2022 to critical acclaim, but that sadly didn't amount to sales. While we don't have exact numbers available, we do know that the game was a sales failure, and after that failure, the lead designer of the game, Jake Solomon, left the studio in order to form a new studio that reportedly isn't making a turn-based title, which is what his previous studio, Firaxis, is mostly known for.

Take a look at Marvel's Midnight Suns in action below.

The biggest issue that faced Marvel's Midnight Suns at launch is that it released amid a large amount of massive games. In the month prior to the strategy title releasing, gamers received God of War Ragnarök, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and The Callisto Protocol. The same day that Marvel's Midnight Suns was released, the newest title in the Need For Speed franchise, Need For Speed Unbound, was released, and less than a week later, both Adult Swim shooter High on Life and Square Enix remaster Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion were released. What this boiled down to was that not many people actually picked up the Marvel strategy title at the time, despite it reviewing extremely strongly. Luckily, this is the perfect chance to rectify those mistakes and pick up one of the finest strategy and superhero titles in recent years at absolutely no cost whatsoever.
