Want to swing around the big city with your friends by your side? It’ll soon be possible.

However, this Marvel’s Spider-Man co-op feature, while exciting, isn’t going to be accessible to everyone.

That’s likely given you enough of a clue to work out where we’re going with this, but just in case you’re still in the dark: this new mode will be for PC users only.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is now available on PC.

“Bro I don’t have a PC or friends to play it with,” lamented YouTube user @Waaris-qp8lr.

You guessed it, this is a fan-made creation rather than an official update from Insomniac Games.

“The Marvel's Spider-Man: The Great Web that was cancelled by Sony is now being made by passion fans,” posted @sonicseriesfan6243.

What is more, this mod isn’t ready yet, although its trailer looks promising.

Described as being “one of the greatest joys of gaming”, many look forward to playing AAA titles like this with friends.

The fact that Insomniac scrapped its plans to include a co-op mode has been a main sticking point for a lot of gamers.

Even though the devs said no, the fandom is unanimously saying yes.

The Redditor that originally shared this news on r/gaming said, “Looks awesome, seems like they have been working on it for quite a while.”

User raisedbytides commented, “This will be so much fun” before adding, “now I just need friends!”

That would definitely help make the experience better.

Despite thrilled fans eagerly awaiting more details about this project, they’re also concerned that Insomniac will shut it down.

So far, its creator tiffsomniac seems to have avoided this fate. However, with the mod gaining more traction, it’s possible the devs will start to take notice.

For now though, Marvel’s Spider-Man’s co-op mode is safe.
