It has been just over a year since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was first released and despite the highly-anticipated sequel being a single player experience, there's plenty of new content now available to draw you back in, if you're on PC that is.

Released as a sequel to both 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 saw both Peter and Miles join together to take on a series of iconic villains who threatened the city of New York, with the game's PC port finally landing last month.

Check out the launch trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 below!

Thanks to its improvements on the original, such as new ways to traverse, more to explore and the ability to switch between Peter and Miles at will, the sequel was a success and went on to be nominated for Game of the Year.

Now just over a year on, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is far from being tossed to the side as it's finally available on PC, with a new dedicated modding community releasing brand-new content to extend the game further.

According to NexusMods, 153 mods have been uploaded this week and even more shockingly, 36 have been added just today.

It seems as though the Insomniac Games title is hosting quite a sizable player base and that is partly due to the brand-new content created by fans, despite the PC port's rocky launch.

So what exactly can you download over on NexusMods?

There is the Okangel’s Venom Wings which turns Spider-Man’s default webwings into Venom’s wings, complete with flying capabilities.

On the topic of webwings, downloading the Flying Webwings mod will allow you to fly without limitations and for an indefinite amount of time.

Those wanting New York to feel even more vibrant and colourful can check out Okangel’s Beyond NYC Atmosphere mod.

There are also plenty that change the look and style of Spider-Man’s various suits as well as a mod that adds CJ and Big Smoke from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

I’m not sure why you would want to but hey, the option is there!

With new mods added each day, you have never had more of a reason to pick up Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 if you haven’t already.
