It must be the summer of generosity because PC gamers can bag themselves two free games right now, one of which is a widely acclaimed RPG.
After hearing that we can get Unity Command: Stalingrad Campaign for free, we didn’t think we’d discover another popular game in the sales so quickly. But here we are.

To ensure every taste is catered to, these two games are worlds apart when it comes to genre and themes – one is a brightly coloured multiplayer, and the other a brooding, pixel-art fantasy.
Arguably, Loop Hero is the game that a lot of people will want to grab while they still have a chance. We’re not shading Bloons TD 6 (the other freebie), just stating a fact that one is an acclaimed game, while the other is a vibrant, wacky defence game; it’s a bit like Vampire Survivors, but with cute graphics instead.
When it isn’t the summer of sales, Loop Hero will cost you £12.79 and Bloons TD 6 another £11.79. They’re not terrible prices to be fair, but who wants to pay the full price when you can get them for free?
To make these freebies even more desirable to you hungry PC gamers, the last day of the deal coincides with Valve selling refurbished Steam Decks, meaning you can grab two bargains in one go! One will take longer to arrive, but you saved money, which is the main thing when you’re an avid gamer.
This Epic Games deal is on its last day, with it set to end on 10 August 2023 at 4PM BST (5pm CEST). Meaning you don’t have much time to sit on the fence if you’re still undecided. However, there’s a silver lining to this tale, or at least there is if you’re primarily interested in getting Loop Hero.
On Steam there’s a Weekend Deal that’s running for the next eight hours, which prices Loop Hero at £4.22. It’s not exactly free, but if you miss out on one deal, you have the chance to enjoy another one instead. Though, once again, the clock is ticking…
