The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free game line-up, with PC users able to secure $70 worth of video games for no cost at all.
Allow me to remind you of the rules when it comes to Epic Games’ giveaways.
They run for one week before the line-up refreshes, so today’s titles will remain claimable until August 27 at 4pm BST.
Only PC copies of the included titles are available, but you can enjoy them on PC adjacent devices like the Xbox ROG Ally.

Beyond that, you don’t need any subscriptions or anything like that - and once claimed, the games are yours to keep.
If single-player RPGs are for you, try Cardpocalypse
Cardpocalypse Standard Edition and Epic Mage Bundle are up for grabs; here’s precisely what those two freebies entail.
Cardpocalypse Standard Edition typically retails for $24.99 / £20.99 and is a “single-player RPG about being a 90s kid” developed by Gambrinous.
It first landed six years ago and takes you into a world where a collectible card game has been banned at Dudsdale Elementary School.
The children of the school are forced to take their card battling underground, but somehow mutants from within the game begin to invade the real world.
Players will build decks and fend off threats, with the first player to reduce their opponent’s Champion card health to zero winning the match.
Champion cards have ‘mega’ forms where their health is halved but their damage is doubled, plus the further you progress, the more cards you’ll acquire.

If you stray away from Cardpocalypse’s main campaign, you’ll find a roguelike gauntlet mode where you can fight your way through increasingly difficult battle stages.
The game holds an 88% approval rating on Steam, as of the time of writing.
“Cute short card game,” one player wrote, while another added, “Very good.” With a runtime of around 15 hours for main and side content, this one's not too big of an undertaking.

How about some pricey DLC for an acclaimed MMO?
As for the Epic Mage Bundle, that contains $55 worth of content and is essentially DLC for the free-to-play MMO Albion Online.
Obviously, that means it’s not going to be of interest to everyone, but it’s a sweet deal if you are an existing player.
The bundle claims to assist in helping “you find your footing”, so perhaps a good lure for new Albion Online players.

It’s exclusive to the Epic Games Store, so you can’t get it anywhere else.
It includes the following items:
- Mage Adventurer Wardrobe & Mount Skin Bundle: Adopt the mantle of a master of the mystic arts with this comprehensive cosmetic ensemble, featuring Full Mage Wardrobe, Armoured Horse Mount Skin, Spellbook Weapon Skin, Guild Customisation.
- Mistwolf Mount Skin: Traverse the Royal Continent atop a ghostly predator shrouded in arcane mist.
- 400 Community Tokens: Spend them at the Vanity Merchant on cosmetic rewards of your choosing.
- Three Scrolls of Fame: Give your character an additional burst of Fame to make the most of your time while playing.
- 500 Learning Points: Advance five times more quickly on the Destiny Board and complete your progression milestones.
- 10 Adept’s Focus Restoration Potions: Restore Focus to support more efficient crafting and refining.
- 10 Adept’s Tomes of Insight: Receive instant Fame and accelerate your early progression.
As a reminder, both of these freebies are available to grab until August 27, so it’s perhaps safer to act sooner rather than later.
