Back in November, a 2GB file was found on an Xbox 360 dev kit relating to the beta of Fallout: New Vegas containing everything from cut NPCs to locations and more.
With many of the content cut in order to get Fallout: New Vegas down to a respectable size, as is common with many RPGs, fans of the 2010 Bethesda title were of course eager to see it which has led to the dedicated modding community pouring through that file in order to restore some of the missing content.
With PC gamers able to access a whole lot more storage than the Xbox 360, cut content is welcomed and that is what has been released for Fallout: New Vegas over the past few weeks.

As you can imagine, the Fallout: New Vegas category on Nexus Mods has welcomed hundreds of new additions since November.
One of which includes the restoration of Marilyn, a securitron belonging to Mr. House, who was originally cut from Fallout: New Vegas but has since been returned thanks to multiple mods, including the aptly named Marilyn Restored.

The creator, The Moat Goats, has also restored further content including Papa Khan’s Armour, Arcade Gannon Name Tag, Lucky 38 Trash Cans, and cut dialogue belonging to Alexus.
Mr. House himself has also received some love, with one creator restoring his beta appearance which looks pretty similar to actor Steve Buscemi.
Bringing back his earlier design definitely makes him look even creepier and makes you wonder why Bethesda changed it in the first place.

There were also quite a few locations that featured in the beta but were later removed from Fallout: New Vegas at launch, or some that still appeared but looked quite different.
However, they have since been restored including locations such as Goodsprings, Prospector Saloon, and Nipton Train Station.
With hundreds of new mods added since the beta file was discovered, there has never been a better time to play Fallout: New Vegas, especially as Fallout season two is set to air on Wednesday 17 December.
The second season of the hit Amazon Prime show will see Lucy and The Ghoul travel to New Vegas and so if you want to see it in the flesh before it gets the live-action treatment, I am sure that these mods will help you out.
