I don’t know about you but sometimes I just get the urge to revisit an old game but soon find myself feeling a bit bored of gameplay I have experienced so many times. However, thanks to one modder, Fallout 4 fans can revisit the game to experience a whole new expansion.

Released back in 2015, Fallout 4 is the fourth main entry in the much-loved and ongoing Fallout series. Taking place in a post-nuclear war-torn America, you play as a survivor who must learn to rebuild the world around them. With Fallout 5 somewhat of a distant dream, it is down to fans to add new and exciting content to what they already have and that is certainly the case for one modder.

Check out the Fallout 4 launch trailer below!

Attackpony on Nexus Mods is the genius behind the ‘Barrenwood’ mod which adds a completely new worldspace to the base game. Not only does it add a whole new area to explore but it also features new main quests, side quests, voiced NPCs and workshop locations. Better yet, it’s totally free!

The map known as Barrenwood is a fictional island located 20 kilometers from Boston and consists of a “completely new, built-from-scratch worldspace”. It features a variety of locations both inside and outdoors and has a fully integrated workshop system allowing you to build your own settlements.

Not only that but Barrenwood features its own main and side quests with some even allowing player choices. Additionally, it will feature new fully-voiced NPCs which each have their own voice actors behind them. Last but not least, Barrenwood will be lore accurate and will tie into the main story.

This is just another example of the creativity of Fallout fans which we also saw recently with the Fallout: Fusion City Rising which also features a brand-new expansion, totally free!
