There’s another free game on GOG to grab and keep forever, and it’s an underrated banger you should definitely try.

GOG, owned by the Cyberpunk 2077 publisher CD Projekt Red has made another game available to download and play for free.

Check out the launch trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree below

It’s called The First Templar- Special Edition, and if you’ve never heard of it before I don’t blame you.

That being said it’s pretty underrated, making its inclusion as the next free GOG game all the better for it to get a new following.

It follows to main characters on a quest to uncover a conspiracy linked to the Holy Grail, with plenty of combat, exploration and thrilling narrative moments. It’s also got some historical elements to it if that’s your cup of tea.

You can even play the game in co-op mode with a friend if you like, where the other player just takes control of the AI character.

It’s a decent RPG and one that’s worth checking out while it’s free, but you’ll have to be reasonably quick as the offer won’t last forever.

Now if The First Templar isn’t the game you’re looking for, fear not, as there are loads of freebies knocking around at the moment, many of which you can find on Steam.

There’s also a handful of Epic Games Store titles you can download for free too, as well as additional titles found on GOG if you know where to look.

These digital stores seem to always have something new in the way of freebies, so if you primarily play on PC it’s a good idea to check back in from time to time and see what’s on offer, as most of the time there are some real hidden gems available to download.
