Can I say something positively horrendous? I’ve yet to complete Baldur’s Gate 3.
I’d like to apologise to all of those sitting aghast.
Listen, it’s easy to get distracted in that game and then so many other stellar titles came out and I, uh, yeah. It’s not excusable really, is it?
If you are, however, someone who has completed Baldur’s Gate 3 umpteen times and is looking for a new challenge, then I’d like to direct your attention to the newly released ‘Chivalry - Expansion’ mod.

It goes without saying that you’ll need a copy of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC in order to enjoy this one.
‘Chivalry - Expansion’ has been created by NexusMods users Halomaster481 and Sumradagnoth8, and it essentially adds “an Arthurian legend spin on your playthrough”.
Players will face off against “heroes and villains of yore, from the legendary Black Knight to the Forgotten Heroes of the Gate”.
In total, the mod adds over 120 new items, including 24 new weapons, 22 new armour sets, 10 new encounters, and over 100 new custom passives and abilities.

The idea is that it seeks to make classes more versatile.
You’ll be able to find all of the new weapons and armours scattered throughout Faerûn.
It is worth noting that while all body types are supported, armour does not currently work with gnomes, halflings, and dwarfs.
There is partial support for dragonborn, but helmets will not work.

If a few bits and bobs look familiar, that’s because the modders have taken certain assets from several familiar titles including the likes of Kingdom Come Deliverance II, The Witcher 3, Mordhau, and Final Fantasy 16.
The mod has only been available for a few days but it’s already earning praise from those who have taken it for a spin.
“Wow, amazing work on this project, it looks absolutely phenomenal,” wrote one happy player.
“GOD BLESS YOU, SIR KNIGHT!!!!!!!” added another.

“This is sooooo cool! Thank you,” read one comment, while another stated, "I could kiss you, you beautiful person.”
Romantic.
If you want to give ‘Chivalry - Expansion’ a go, then it’s totally free to download over on NexusMods.
Given that Larian Studios is officially done with Baldur’s Gate 3, this is the only method via which you’ll be able to now enjoy new content as no new expansions or DLC are coming.

Let’s hope that whatever the studio is cooking up next is equally as juicy.
