Baldur's Gate 3 Free Expansion Will Banish Your Camp Event FOMO

No more missing out on important moments

One of the key features of Baldur’s Gate 3 is the ability to get to know your companions whether this is through random dialogue or pre-determined cutscenes showcasing some of the game’s key moments.

However, with many of those pre-determined cutscenes being locked behind specific requirements or time periods, they are easy to miss.

So if you do not want to take on multiple playthroughs of Baldur’s Gate 3 in the hope that you eventually see them all, this free download will save you a whole lot of time.

Camp Event Overhaul is a free to download mod by HyperspaceTowel over on Nexus Mods.

It aims to “overhaul easy-to-miss camp scenes” in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3.

“There are a ton of camp events in Act 1, but some of them are easy to miss due to overly strict (and, at times, odd) requirements,” the mod description reads.

“Some scenes disappear if you progress too quickly, while others require heavy metagaming and hoop jumping to unlock on a vanilla campaign.

This mod overhauls those rare scenes and dialogues to make them more accessible.”

Some key narrative moments happen at camp in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3 and so for the first time, you will be able to catch them all without worrying if you are missing out on anything important.

Catch those key moments

For example, a scene will now play showing Shadowheart opening her mysterious box even without needing to have her present in your party at the time.

Additionally, you will no longer be shut out from this scene if her wound flared up on your adventures.

It is little things like that that could easily see you miss out on some important context but this mod helps to combat this entirely.

The infamous biting scene with Astarion will also undergo some changes as players will now be able to take part in some evening chats instead of going straight into the blood-sucking scene.

This will allow you to get more dialogue out of your companions even on nights where important events take place.

With camp events in Baldur’s Gate 3 always taking place in order of priority and if you have met specific requirements, it is easy to miss out but with the Camp Event Overhaul mod, this will be a thing of the past.

So if you own Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and want to check out this free download, make sure to try out the mod now.
