The Legend of Zelda is arguably Nintendo’s strongest series, perhaps even stronger than Super Mario.
Nintendo’s golden plumber is the face of the company and has a broader appeal across various age demographics, but it’s the Zelda games that sell consoles.
We’ve been spoiled by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and yet we still have high hopes for that mysterious 2027 title.
While we wait for a Nintendo Direct to hopefully tell us more, a new Zelda freebie is already here now.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a stellar Nintendo 3DS title that deserves a HD port on the Nintendo Switch 2.

If you agree, you can show your support for the game by enjoying its complete soundtrack, which is now available via Nintendo Music.
The Nintendo Music app can be downloaded for free but you’ll need an active membership for Nintendo Switch Online in order to unlock its contents.
Inside, you’ll find loads of soundtracks from some of Nintendo’s earliest work to its latest releases, and now songs from A Link Between Worlds are being featured alongside the rest of the ensemble.

This new addition comes shortly after the Nintendo Entertainment System and Nintendo Game Boy versions of Yoshi were added to the app.
The Legend of Zelda games have always had bopping soundtracks and A Link Between Worlds is no exception, so we’re glad to see it added to Nintendo Music.
Other Zelda game soundtracks included on the app are The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, just to name a few.
You can also play most if not all of these titles on the Nintendo Switch 2 in some capacity, though we’re still a long way off from a completed set.
As we said before, we’re waiting for a new Nintendo Direct to tease what’s coming next. The 40th anniversary of Zelda came and went with hardly a whisper, so many are expecting the announcement of something substantial to mark the occasion
Leaks say a remake of Ocarina of Time is on the cards, but not in the way fans would expect.
In a potentially controversial move, it’s said the remake will be cut in half, with one game focusing on Young Link, whereas the other will focus on Adult Link. Players will need to buy both games for the full story.
Of course, we’re taking that rumour with a hefty handful of salt, as that’d be a bold move even for Nintendo.
