The next Legend Of Zelda game is expected to be announced next week, as fans count down the days before the next major showcase.

So far the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a fantastic console, and it’s been genuinely impressive seeing how certain games run on it, like Star Wars Outlaws.

Yet surprisingly there hasn’t been much in terms of first-party Nintendo titles, with the majority being upgrade packs for existing Nintendo Switch games, as well as Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, with others like Metroid Prime 4 on the way.

The most bizarre fact of all is there hasn’t been a peep about a new Legend Of Zelda game for the system, though the upgrade packs for The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild and The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom have been more than appreciated by players.

With rumour of a new Nintendo Direct coming next week it’s time for Zelda fans to get excited, as it’s the most likely time for Nintendo to announce the heavy-hitters coming to the console.

Of course all Nintendo fans are excited for the potential Direct, and have been sharing their predictions for what could be shown if the presentation actually goes ahead.

“Mario 40th is a few days before. So likely they are doing a trailer or small direct for it next week” theorised one fan.

Another immediately followed up saying “Next year is also the 40th anniversary of Zelda, so here's hoping there's something awesome in store.”

While a new Zelda game announcement would be brilliant, let's not forget the Wii U Zelda games that never made it to the Nintendo Switch…

We might finally be on the cusp of getting The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD on a Nintendo Switch console, and that alone has me the most excited about a Direct than I’ve been in a while.
