You can claim Splatoon freebies for the Nintendo Switch right now but you need to act fast to avoid missing out on this offer.
It’s always nice to claim free video games and DLC goodies whether we play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo and everything in between. However, it’s also great to claim free content when it comes to representing our favourite video game franchises, such as the topic of today’s discussion, Splatoon.

Splatoon is a third-person multiplayer shooter series where instead of using bullets to kill, the main objective of an online match is to cover the entire map with your colour of paint before your opponents. It’s a great family-friendly alternative to the likes of Call of Duty and Battlefield.

The first game in the series arrived in 2015 for the Wii U and since that time, we’ve been treated to sequels and expansions for the Nintendo Switch. The most recent is Splatoon 3 released in 2022, followed by its expansion Side Order the following year.
If you’re a fan of the Splatoon series, then today is your lucky day because you can claim free icons (thanks ឵឵NSO Icons Alerts) to proudly display on your Nintendo Switch profile. The icons in question can be purchased with Platinum coins, one of two of Nintendo's free currencies (the other being Gold).
You can access the free icons via the Nintendo Switch home screen by going to ‘Nintendo Switch Online’ and then selecting the ‘Missions & Rewards’ section. Depending on which icons you choose, they will cost five or ten Platinum coins.
