A recent internal GameStop memo has revealed that one popular Nintendo Switch 2 bundle is about to end production.
We all know that purchasing the latest piece of hardware is no easy feat thanks to both stock shortages and their extortionate price tags.
Not to mention that purchasing select titles means that even more money has to be spent, leaving the whole ordeal a lot harder than it needs to be.
That is why many companies release bundles as a way for customers to get their hands on both hardware and software by lumping in the latest console with some highly sought-after games.

One such example is the Mario Kart Bundle for the Nintendo Switch 2 which sees both the brand-new Switch console and one of its most popular titles be combined to create a much cheaper purchase.
However, according to a recently discovered internal GameStop memo, the Mario Kart Bundle is set to wrap up production.
"This bundle SKU has now reached end of lifecycle, and additional units will no longer be produced,” the memo reads.
“While still available, this bundle should be recommended to Customers as great value offering an additional value of $29.99 vs purchasing the game and console separately.
“Future replenishment of Nintendo Switch 2 will be the base console.”
It is unclear why the bundle will no longer be produced but, in the meantime, Best Buy is still offering the Mario Kart World Bundle on sale for $449 if you wish to get your hands on it ahead of its cancellation.

Could This Be Down To Ever-Rising Hardware Costs?
Nonetheless, on the since-deleted Tweet, Nintendo users have been sharing their thoughts on the bundle’s cease in production, with many pointing out that the Mario Kart World Nintendo Switch 2 bundle will now be a collector’s piece.
“Whelp the only reasonable way to buy Mario Kart World is gone,” one user said.
“Time to see if the game’s sales completely die.”
Another said, “It’ll be back, probably with a second game included.”
However, user Jenaxu believes that this may be down to the ever-increasing cost of hardware parts.
“Kinda figured this might happen given the spike in component costs,” they shared.
“I think they'll eat the loss of keeping the base unit at MSRP for as long as they can, but recoup that elsewhere w/ these more subtle price increases (fewer bundles, fewer sales, maybe NSO price bump).”
As mentioned, as this announcement comes from an internal GameStop memo, Nintendo is yet to comment on the validity of it.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for the Mario Kart World Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, I would grab it before it is gone.
