If you asked me which franchise is dominating the Nintendo Switch 2 right now, I’d answer with The Legend of Zelda.
It’s already welcomed two releases with the launch day Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
And let’s not forget that The Wind Waker has returned via Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, nor that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is on the way, supposedly later this year.
It seems abundantly clear to me that it’s the most active of Nintendo’s various franchises at the moment - and I haven’t even touched upon the upcoming film.

It’s with all of this in mind that I tell you that fans are feasting well and yet, many of them are already looking to what’s next.
It’s unlikely that a new mainline entry is going to drop anytime soon, so it’s perhaps more plausible that we’ll receive a remake, remaster, or simple re-release.
Which title would you like to see make a return? Ocarina of Time? Majora’s Mask, perhaps?
Well, it’s a new release of Twilight Princess HD that seems to have garnered a lot of support.

Released back in 2016 for the Wii U, Twilight Princess HD is a remaster of the beloved original 2006 title.
It’s one fans would love to see make yet another grand comeback, with Reddit user No-Document6746 mocking up what the game’s Switch 2 cover art might look like.
It’s a fun little project that’s left plenty of fellow fans yearning for more.
One user replied with the Hawkeye “Don’t do that, don’t give me hope” meme.

Another wrote, “For the love of god Nintendo, just make it already! At least put TP on NSO.”
“I just don’t understand what Nintendo is waiting for at this point. Like just f**king do it lol,” said boozerbean.
What I will say is that, at the very least, it’s foolish of us to assume that no more franchise titles will be coming to NSO + Expansion Pack.
It’s likely that the remaining games will be drip fed to us over the next few years which is something, even if Nintendo has no major plans to revisit old entries.

For now, I think it’s simply a case of sitting back and seeing what unfolds.
