The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time players discover that one of the game's most powerful weapons isn't a sword.
Yes, that’s right, this unassuming weapon is even mightier than the Master Sword, well, under certain conditions at least.
However, I’m not sure how this weapon would fare against the big bad of The Legend of Zelda series, Ganondorf, but you’re welcome to try.
Originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time, as indicated by its near–perfect score of 99 on the aggregate website, Metacritic.

Very befitting of its name, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is truly a timeless classic that can still be enjoyed by veteran and new fans alike via services such as Nintendo Switch Online.
So, what is this mighty weapon that can bring forth the end of all days, in Ocarina of Time, I hear you ask? The weapon in question is the Deku Stick. Yes, that’s right, the Deku Stick.
That being said, this might not come as much of a surprise to fans of Breath of the Wild, because the trusty stick is the go-to weapon against normal grunts such as the Bokoblin.
The power of the mighty Deku Stick was spoken of in a Reddit post that listed some things that fans might not know about Ocarina of Time.

“If you use a Deku Stick on Queen Ghoma, she'll die so much faster,” replied a Reddit user.
Queen Ghoma is the first boss you’ll encounter when exploring Kokiri Forest very early in the game, when saving the Great Deku Tree. At first, she seems like a menacing boss. But once you suss out her basic fight mechanics, she’s much easier than you thought.
However, she’s even easier if you slap a Deku Stick across her big, bulging eye.
“This is for real, the Deku Sticks are actually pretty strong, Master-Swordish almost,” added Denana.

So, there you have it, the next time you encounter Queen Gohma in the Great Deku Tree, just give her a few whacks with your Deku Stick.
