The Nintendo Switch 2 is within touching, sniffing, and tasting distance.
Well, I don’t exactly recommend you taste the console nor its game cartridges which, as reported by GameSpot, are purposefully designed to taste disgusting.
As I’m sure you’re aware, the Nintendo Switch 2 will finally launch next month on 5 June, so I hope you’ve already got your pre-order in.

The console will arrive alongside a great selection of games, including Mario Kart World and updated versions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom; don’t forget that Donkey Kong Bananza will follow on 17 July.
It isn’t just first-party titles you should be hyped for though.
Hogwarts Legacy is launching a new-gen version of the game for the console, plus CD Projekt RED’s acclaimed RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will be arriving on a Nintendo system for the very first time.
Named Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, the port will finally allow Nintendo fans to discover the delights and horrors of Night City, but you shouldn’t expect to find much in the way of extra content.

You can view the game’s trailer below.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition features the base game as well as the Phantom Liberty DLC expansion.
Elsewhere, there will reportedly be a few mild gameplay adjustments so that Switch 2 features, like the Joy-Con mouse functionality, can be taken advantage of.

“Mouse controls work very similarly to the PC version. You can use the optical sensor to aim a weapon or select your dialogue options or whatever else you would do when using a mouse traditionally,” dev Charles Tremblay told Nintendo Life.
What the Switch 2 version won’t include though is any Nintendo-specific content, so I hope you weren’t expecting to hunt down any new The Legend of Zelda or Mario-themed Easter eggs.
“Wouldn’t that be a great crossover? Who knows — maybe it will come to life one day, but we don’t have such plans at the moment,” Tremblay added.
Of course, CDPR has previously said that it’s largely done with Cyberpunk 2077, with devs instead now focused on The Witcher IV but I do wonder whether this new port will reignite the team’s creativity.

They may channel that creativity into the game’s sequel, Project Orion, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see another game update in the near future either.
