Cyberpunk 2077 New Release Being Shown to Public This Month

Another excuse to return to Night City

Despite CD Projekt RED turning its attention to the likes of The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2, it seems as though it has not left its hit RPG behind for good as a brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 release is set to be shown to the public later this month.

CD Projekt RED may have wrapped up full development on Cyberpunk 2077 but that has not stopped the team from regularly working with Virtuos to bring players new and exciting content, such as its 2.3 Update which was released just last month.

It just goes to show that fans are always eager for more Cyberpunk 2077 content and that is something that would have been hard to believe when the RPG was first released back in 2020.

Now it is regarded as one of the best in its genre and a brand-new release continues to support its ever-growing popularity.

Shared on the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter page, CDPR has revealed that the game will be heading to Gamescon 2025 in Cologne.

From 20-24 August, the Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be playable on the Nintendo Switch 2 as the Nintendo booth.

“Dive into Night City, handheld style”, the official post reads.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition was first released back in 2023 but to celebrate the recent launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, the new-and-improved version will now be heading to the handheld.

Players will be able to experience Night City in both the base game and its Phantom Liberty DLC which our very own Ewan Moore called “maybe the best expansion I've ever played.”

“I really can’t say enough good things about Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty,” his review reads.

“It fills me with joy to be able to report that this is a deeply ambitious expansion that fires on all cylinders and never delivers anything less than a stellar experience.”

So if you want to try out Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch 2, then you had better head to Germany later this month and see what Night City has to offer.
