It is an exciting time for Animal Crossing fans with Animal Crossing: New Horizons set to return from the dead next year.
Just last week saw Nintendo announce that Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 would arrive in January alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 port.
Alongside the return of a fan-favourite feature from the early 00s, Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 will also welcome heaps of new content including Slumber Islands, a Legend of Zelda collaboration, several new furniture sets, and much more.
The news came alongside a brief teaser trailer of all of the new features that players can expect but there was one highly requested feature that was not shown.

Crafting from storage.
With fans begging for the ability to craft directly from storage when Animal Crossing: New Horizons was first released back in 2020, the pleas went unheard. Until now.

It may not have featured in the brand-new teaser trailer but fear not as bulk crafting will appear in the new update, even if we were only told about it in the terms and conditions.

Spotted by Twitter user Chase247, players will now be able to craft directly from their storage as opposed to having to juggle various materials within their small inventory.
“You can now craft items in batches, pulling materials directly from your storage - and if you’re looking to change things up and get rid of unwanted decorations quickly, look no further than Resetti’s Reset Service,” the official Animal Crossing: New Horizons store page reads.
Not only that but ACNH 3.0 will also introduce the ability to bulk craft which is a quality-of-life update that we will all appreciate when redecorating our islands.
Being able to craft more than one item at a time will save heaps of time with players able to enter in the amount of each object they would like to make.
Fans are over the moon
“I AM SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF THESE NEW FEATURES!!!” User Buzzy_Belle over on r/AnimalCrossingNewHorizons exclaimed.

“Resetting my island so easily is finally going to get rid of my overwhelming sense of dread when I'm thinking about making things and breaking them down later.”
Another user added, “[Bulk crafting] is all I've ever wanted. Omg.
I've been getting kinda bored with ACNH after playing 2000 hours but this update means I'll probably put in another 2000.”
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 is expected to head to both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on 15 January 2025.
