Free Cyberpunk download available now on Steam for limited-time

The wait is finally over. Well, almost. Ghostrunner 2 is on the cusp of launching, much to the delight of fans, but if waiting another few days feels too much like hard work, you can always download the demo on Steam.

Set a year after the events of the first game, the free Cyberpunk download is coming in hot with more brutality. Arguably, such carnage is what makes the franchise such a hit with fans, that and the fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping, the-action-never-stops story. In the words of its fans, “Ghostrunner rocks” – but will its sequel?

The jury is still out when it comes to that answer, understandably so because the game has yet to launch. Nevertheless, while there are a few more days until it's available, those who’ve tried the demo are optimistic, thrown right back into the action that they’ve been pining for since the first game finished. Granted, the likes of Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty have filled that void, especially in terms of “heartbreaking” drama, but the savagery of Ghostrunner hasn’t really been rivalled.

“The demo is savage, looks like it's going to be an 8.5 or 9/10 game to me,” said one Redditor, while another went into greater detail about their passion for the upcoming FPP, “Personally I loved it [the demo]. I do worry the ability to block and parry may make it a tad too easy, but the demo was still fairly challenging and overall the OG Ghostrunner was probably a little too tough for most.”

“I definitely encountered a few parts that frustrated the sh*t out of me even though I loved it overall. Also absolutely adored the bike sequence, was so insanely fast. Ghostrunner 2 will be among the best games of the year for me, no doubt.”
