After months of waiting for the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty, by most accounts, it's proving to be a hit with fans.

To say that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020 was a major disappointment, would be an understatement. In fact, it was deemed so bad that Sony decided to pull it from sale via its PS Store. However, a long time has passed and Cyberpunk 2077 is in a much better state now. Well, at least on PC and new-gen consoles.

Check out the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty trailer below!

Following the success of the Phantom Liberty expansion, fans agreed that the initial launch of Cyberpunk 2077 should have been delayed or at the very least, skipped PS4 and Xbox One entirely, especially when you consider that the expansion isn't available on last-gen systems. What’s more, it’s also recently been reported that CD Projekt had spent in excess of $120 million saving Cyberpunk 2077. Yikes!

In our review of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, our reviewer Ewan said: “I really can’t say enough good things about Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. It fills me with joy to be able to report that this is a deeply ambitious expansion that fires on all cylinders and never delivers anything less than a stellar experience. CD Projekt RED is walking away from Cyberpunk 2077 in the best possible way, delivering on the game’s immense potential and dropping one final, unforgettable adventure.”

Now, before I proceed, the Reddit thread that is the source of this article will be full of spoilers. So if you’re yet to play Phantom Liberty or even finish Cyberpunk 2077 the main game, then please be wary.

“This ending broke my heart, I currently can't even look at ****. The fact that you spend all this time fighting to survive not just for yourself but because you wanted a future with *** and *** turns around and does that, exclaimed blankjdoe.

“I feel V's story just doesn't really have a happy ending as much as a price for whatever you choose. Even with the sadness I like the new ending,” said exploitedpixels. “All of the endings outside of the star ending(and even that a little) leave me feeling a hollow sort of depressed. And that’s intended. So I can’t be disappointed that CDPR didn’t put in a happy ending,” explained telepathicness.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
