Florida Joker says he'll drop GTA 6 lawsuit if Rockstar lets him voice character

You can't make this up

The GTA VI Florida Joker saga continues. It feels like this beef has been discussed for years, when in fact, it’s only been a couple of months. Still, within that time there’s been countless threats made towards Rockstar Games from the man who is pretty much the knock-off of DC’s Joker.

After issuing a final warning to Rockstar Games in December 2023, telling the developers to pay up for using his likeness, the Florida Joker then made reference to busting a GTA VI hacker out of jail, seemingly as a veiled threat towards Rockstar once again.

Let's watch that GTA VI one more time, just to see what else we can find

There’s been so many twists and turns to this affair that it’s easy to forget that Lawrence Sullivan (the Florida Joker’s real name) has said he'll file a lawsuit against the games company. Even more wild, is him now saying he’ll drop that lawsuit if Rockstar let him voice the character his likeness was allegedly used for.

At this point, everything connected with the Florida Joker and GTA VI just feels absurd, yet he looks dead serious in his video where he claims he doesn’t really want to sue Rockstar, so long as they yield to his demands. That’s something the Joker would say, so at least he’s staying in character.

“Hit me up, let me voice the character, give me more storyline in the game and give me a few mill [...] let's make history happen," Sullivan said on TikTok. "Y'all see what I did for the game. We made news, we made the blogs, everybody's covering me.”

Sullivan isn’t wrong about everyone covering him, though we’re not sure it’s him alone that’s increasing the GTA VI hype – that hype ran off the tracks long before anyone even saw the trailer. Not ignoring the fact that, if Rockstar really wanted to work with him, it would have been arranged by now.

Still, it makes for hilarious entertainment to watch a grown man so desperate for attention beg for a part in a game, so we’ll keep tuning in for the next instalment of this saga.
