Elden Ring player encounters AI believed to have “once been a tarnished”

Elden Ring is the gift that keeps on giving, as I’d bet the majority of players are nowhere near close to seeing everything its world has to offer.

While the stunning graphics and the monstrously good boss fights are the real bread and butter of Elden Ring, sometimes it’s nice to just wander through a dungeon a demolish whatever stands in your way for an easy victory.

Take a look at this incredible expansion mod for Elden Ring below

One player seemingly met their match though when they were wandering a dungeon before coming across a skeleton with all the behaviour of another tarnished warrior. As the player went in for a strike the boney individual started to spam dodge rolls as if they were another player. Eventually, their roly-poly, time came to an end, giving the player a chance to parry and finish off the strange skele-man.

Anyone who’s experienced the PvP modes in FromSoftware’s games will undoubtedly feel the frustration, as lightweight players with maxed-out stamina can be a real pain to fight when all they’re doing is rolling around the place.

Fans found the whole thing highly amusing, with many agreeing the dead dude must have been another tarnished before turning into a bag of bones.

“He has more rolls than a bakery, it could be possible.”

“So that's what we look like from the enemy's perspective.”

“Endless rolling sounds like me during my first playthrough lmfao.”

Players still replaying the game have a lot to look forward to in 2024, namely the upcoming DLC expansion, Shadow Of The Erdtree, which is believed to be launching very soon if leaks and rumours are anything to listen to. FromSoftware DLC has always been some of the best parts of the soulsborne genre, and players are expecting their toughest challenge yet with Elden Ring’s DLC.

Hopefully the DLC doesn’t bring back those spiked-wheel skeletons from Dark Souls though, they’re the worst.
