We’re in the midst of a Marvel drought, which maybe is a tad dramatic but hey, I said it. Last year’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever brought Phase Four to a close, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will kick start Phase Five on 17 February so we don’t have much longer to wait.
I think a lot of us are excited to see what Phase Five brings. With Phase Four, The Multiverse Saga got underway but we’re yet to really see where this saga is heading. We know that Kang is our big bad, but we’ll have to wait until Quantumania for the character to properly be introduced. Personally, I cannot wait for Thunderbolts. It’s been so long since we’ve had a team-up film, although that is still over a year away. Many are also looking forward to next year’s Blade reboot, bar Stephen Dorff though.
Check out the trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania below.
Stephen Dorff isn’t particularly known for being a fan of the MCU. As reported by Variety, the actor previously called Black Widow “garbage.” In a new interview with The Daily Beast, Dorff ripped into the upcoming Blade reboot. If you recall, Dorff starred in the original Blade portraying Deacon Frost. “If comic-book movies were more like when I started when we made Blade, or the few that have been decent over the years, like when Nolan did The Dark Knight and reinvented Batman from Tim Burton, who’s obviously a genius…when they were interesting, like when Norrington did Blade, and Guillermo [del Toro] was fucking around in it. But all this other garbage is just embarrassing,” Dorff said.

“You know what I mean? I mean, God bless them, they're making a bunch of money, but their movies suck [laughs]. And nobody’s going to remember them. Nobody’s remembering Black Adam at the end of the day. I didn’t even see that movie, it looked so bad. Marvel is used to me trashing them anyway. How’s that PG Blade movie going for you, that can’t get a director? Because anybody who goes there is going to be laughed at by everyone, because we already did it and made it the best. There’s no Steve Norrington out there.”
Dorff referred to superhero movies these days as “worthless garbage.” Harsh, very harsh.
