Major spoilers for the season finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi ahead. You've been warned!
Obi-Wan Kenobi wrapped up its six-episode run on Disney Plus yesterday with an explosive finale that tied up all the loose ends and delivered on the show's major promise by giving us one final all-out brawl between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader.
Was Obi-Wan Kenobi particularly necessary? Probably not. Was it a perfect show? Certainly not! But for all its faults, it managed to tell a fairly compelling story that enriched both Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope without massively disrupting or contradicting either.

Take a look at the future of Star Wars on TV below!
While the meat of the finale was the rematch between Obi-Wan and his former apprentice, there were plenty of other surprises peppered throughout the episode: most notably the return of Liam Neeson's Qui-Gon Jinn, who we haven't seen in Star Wars since 1999's The Phantom Menace.
While Obi-Wan had spent much of the series attempting to commune with his former master, he remained elusive until the very last moments of the show. Having faced down his demons and properly reconnected to the Force, Obi-Wan was finally able to see his old friend at last.

Naturally, fans were delighted to see the wise old Jedi reunited with his apprentice after 23 years.
This isn't the last we'll see of Neeson's beloved Jedi going forward, either. Last month it was confirmed that he'll be reprising the role Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. The upcoming six-episode animated anthology series will take an in-depth look at the lives of six Jedi from the prequel era, including Qui-Gon and Ahsoka. We can't wait.
