A brand-new series is going to tie all three generations of Star Wars films together in story that spans several different centuries, and it’s all starting with a prequel story featuring Obi-Wan and Anakin.

As exclusively revealed by Fangoria’s Maggie Boccella, a new Star Wars comic titled TALES FROM THE NIGHTLANDS will be hitting store shelves in September this year, and it’ll feature the likes of Obi-Wan, Anakin, Qui-Gon, Luke and Leia… as well as Disney’s sequel heroes Rey and Finn.

“Each issue features one of three generations of galactic heroes facing off against the malevolent Nightlander. Issue #1 sees young Padawan Anakin Skywalker visiting Ryloth with Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, attempting to summon the ghost of Qui-Gon Jinn for a final goodbye,” reads the press release.

“But when Anakin makes contact with the Nightlands, it isn’t his old friend who answers! Issue #2 features Luke & Leia facing this horror, and Issue #3 pits Rey & Finn against a dark power unlike any in the galaxy.”

Andor season 2 is currently airing on Disney Plus.

Over on the r/starwarscomics subreddit, fans are extremely excited to get their hands on the upcoming series.

“Cavan Scott's Star Wars comics stories are solid across the board, but his work on the Vader's Castle material is on an entirely different level,” commented user Guerrillascribe.

“This is going to be quite good. Glad to see he's keeping a toe in the Star Wars suspense/horror pool.”

“Could be a fun way to show Leia’s training with Luke and Finn’s training with Rey!!” replied user colbs2187. “That’s assuming the master/apprentice theme continues after Anakin/Obi Wan.”

I’m extremely excited for this one mostly just because Cavan Scott is involved. That guy has literally never missed when it comes to Star Wars stories, and I know he’ll nail it again in TALES FROM THE NIGHTLANDS.

I honestly have no idea why Disney doesn’t just hire him to write all of their live-action stuff.
