Nickmercs Calls ‘Halo: Infinite’ A “Joke” As Co-Op Testing Finally Gets Underway

Halo: Infinite's co-op testing may finally be underway, but the game still has its critics.

343 Industries really have been working tirelessly to try and save Halo: Infinite but damn, that game has had a rough time, hasn’t it? If you’ve avoided the whole debacle, let me fill you in. Halo: Infinite disappointingly launched without a co-op campaign and it didn’t take the player count long to hit an all time low.

Developers eventually launched a second season but fans complained that it took away “everything fun” about the game. Then came Juneteenth which saw the release of a hugely offensive in-game item. I’m sure you’re starting to get the idea by now. Well, eight months after release, testing is finally underway on a co-op campaign but prominent Twitch streamer Nickmercs is not impressed at all.

Halo has officially crossed over with Microsoft Flight Simulator. Check out the Pelican in action below.

Nicholas ‘Nickmercs’ Kolcheff recently criticised 343 Industries for their lack of care when it came to Halo: Infinite and the Halo community. He said, “Halo dropped the f**king ball. Everyone at that f**king company should be ashamed of themselves man. 343 is a joke. They’re f**king awful. They don’t give a s**t about anyone who plays their game, old or new. Their pride and ego got in the way of what could’ve been.”

The rant coincided with the launch of Halo: Infinite’s co-op campaign testing. Xbox and PC players are now able to register for the Halo Insider Program to gain access to the test which ends on 1 August.

The Halo Twitter account wrote, “The Halo: Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op flight is live! Also featuring Mission Replay, be sure to squad up with your friends in this early-access build and take on the Banished together. We'll see you on Zeta Halo.”

It’s definitely an important step forwards but it is worrying that eight months after launch, it’s only now that we’re starting to see a co-op campaign come to fruition. Can co-op save Halo: Infinite’s dwindling player base? Time will tell.
