New Palworld DLC is Yours for Free, Christmas Break Sorted

Heaps of new building and combat updates

Palworld had something of a rocky launch with the Pokémon-inspired getting noticed by Nintendo for all the wrong reasons but now that the drama has died down, the creature-catching action-adventure game is back with a major update.

First released back in 2024, Palworld joined the ever-growing list of creature-catching titles inspired, of course, by Nintendo’s Pokémon.

However, with Palworld being inspired just a little too much, it soon caught the attention of Nintendo which tried issuing it with a copyright strike.

Fast forward over a year and Palworld is still going strong and to celebrate surviving the clutches of Nintendo, it has announced its Home Sweet Home DLC.

Update v0.7 arrives alongside heaps of new content including building improvements, base painting, a new raid, melee combat improvements, experimental PvP and Steam Workshop.

“2025 has been an incredible year for Palworld, and we’re excited to end the year with v0.7, Home Sweet Home!” The Steam post reads.

“The purpose of this update is to begin improving existing features, and while this update may not be as content-rich as previous ones, we hope players understand that it’s necessary for us to begin laying the groundwork now as we work on the development of Palworld 1.0.”

Base Building and Combat Improvements

As you can guess from the title of the update, it is primarily centered around base building. As a result, 48 new building parts, including the much-requested triangular parts, have been added to give you even more freedom when building your base for you and your Pals.

You will now be able to change the colour of your building pieces and foundations to add a splash of fun to your creations.

However, it is not all about decorating as developer Pocketpair has also added the ULTRAKILL collab.

Teaming up with the bloody FPS, this collaboration adds several new weapons and armour as well as the following features:

  • Added V1 and V2 armor sets! Terrorize the Palpagos Islands as your favorite blood-fueled robot!
  • Added a pair of iconic weapons from ULTRAKILL!
  • Unique Mechanic – Coin Toss

As a result, combat in Palworld is about to get a whole lot deadlier.

Update v0.7 for Palworld is now live across all platforms so if you are ready to dive back into the creature-catching title, you will have a whole lot of new content to enjoy.
