Nab An Excellent Horror Game For Free On Netflix

An acclaimed indie horror game is now completely free for Netflix subscribers.

Netflix Games is perhaps overlooked by a lot of subscribers, but there are some great titles up for grabs and plenty more in the works. Netflix is currently working on a Money Heist game, which actually looks very cool, plus a game based on The Queen’s Gambit. Yes, that is just chess. Not every game is based on a Netflix original though. In fact, you can currently grab an acclaimed horror game on Netflix Games for free.

Speaking of Netflix, you should definitely check out Cyberpunk: Edgerunners if you haven’t already. Take a look at the trailer below.

If you’re a subscriber to Netflix, you can now grab Night School Studio’s Oxenfree. When I say horror, don’t panic. Oxenfree is totally approachable and unfolds more like an unsettling supernatural thriller. Released back in 2016, Oxenfree follows the antics of a group of teenagers who decide to go camping on a mysterious island.

As the night unfolds, the group bear witness to some eerie ghostly happenings. What’s better is that the story changes depending on your own choices, so Oxenfree has great replayability. As with all Netflix Games, subscribers will only be able to download the title on Apple or Android devices.

It’s perfect timing too as Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is on the way, although the game has just been delayed. The sequel will now launch at some point during 2023 so developers can make the title “truly special and add more localisations.”
