One of 2025’s biggest RPGs has been announced to be getting a large price reduction, along with new DLC bundles to freshen up the award-nominated hit.
Capcom has been on a roll lately, with games like Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and Resident Evil Requiem all being smash hits with players.
With its 2026 lineup in the bag, the publisher is also keen to improve perceptions on some of its older titles, with last year’s Monster Hunter Wilds getting some new pricing adjustments to better reflect what’s on offer.
“Hunters, we are streamlining the available options for new and returning hunters joining Monster Hunter Wilds,” reads a post from Capcom. “We plan to discontinue sales of some of our existing bundle products and release new value bundle products.”

These changes will come into effect from 4 August at 1 AM BST, where three bundles will be discontinued, and a new permanent price reduction for the base game will be applied.
Following this date, the Deluxe Edition (currently £74.99), Premium Deluxe Edition (currently £89.99), and Cosmetic DLC Pass (currently £39.99) for Monster Hunter Wilds will be retired.
In their place, Capcom will include three new bundles. The first one is the Extras Cosmetic DLC Collection, which includes select paid cosmetic DLC which was previously only available to purchase standalone.
The next bundle is the Cosmetic DLC Collection, which includes all the items in the Extras Cosmetic DLC Collection, as well as a bundle of 10 DLC packs.
Finally, Capcom will also package the base Monster Hunter Wilds game with the Cosmetic DLC Collection, calling this bundle the Gold Edition. Prices for these bundles have not been announced yet, nor has the new reduced price for the base game.

Monster Hunter Wilds currently costs £59.99 for the base game on Steam, a price that some fans argue is a little steep.
And while Capcom hasn’t shared details on the new pricing structure, it may be adjusted to be closer to what older Monster Hunter games are priced at.
Monster Hunter World is £24.98 on Steam, while Monster Hunter Rise is £32.98. So, we reckon somewhere between £40 and £50 might be Capcom’s target.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released in February 2025, receiving positive reviews from critics. In GAMINGbible’s review, our own Sam Cawley called it “incredibly impressive”.
However, the game launched to negative reviews on Steam, with many players criticising it for performance issues, with graphics and frame-rate taking huge hits even on high-end PCs.
This led to slow sales of the game as 2025 crept on, with Capcom addressing these issues in a series of post-launch patches.
Over time, the game’s average player rating on Steam went from negative to mixed, with the current average sitting at 52%, indicating that just over half of all players have left a recommendation for it.
However, recent reviews are more positive, with 70% of ratings posted in the last two weeks being positive. With the upcoming price reduction, more players may be able to get their hands on it with these new improvements already added to the game.
