Modern Warfare 2 fans praise game's 'creative' new map

Come on in, the water's fine!

One of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's multiplayer maps is being lauded as the "most creative" map ever, with players raving about the range of possibilities it lends to combat encounters.

It's not only the multiplayer that the Call of Duty community is head over heels for. The campaign is "captivating" and offers the experience of being front and centre in the next big blockbuster movie, introducing and reintroducing players to characters that carry the story of Task Force 141. As well as this, tactical nukes were brought back, there's a Burger King Operator, and the drill charge which is the antidote to those annoying campers that hide just outside spawn points. In and amongst all of this praise for Modern Warfare II, I almost forgot that Activision asked for the National Labor Relations Board to postpone the count of union votes for its quality assurance team.

The Zarqwa Hydroelectric map has been drowning in compliments since the multiplayer mode has gone live in Modern Warfare II. "Seriously, once you learn to utilise water the whole map shifts on its head," said one player. "This has to be one of the most creative maps [Infinity Ward] has recently made. I didn't like it at first, but after I learned all the water tunnels and outside flanking routes it became one of my favourites."

"Love being a funny fish man and spending the entire game in the water sneaking around and popping out to gun people down before disappearing again," added another. The reception to Zarqwa Hydroelectric has now led to the request for water to be implemented into other levels, even theorising that an entire point could be underwater to really test players' skills.
