Margot Robbie is reportedly joining the MCU in a highly sought-after role that might surprise a few.

Margot Robbie is one of the most popular actresses on the big screen, portraying the role of the DC’s Harley Quinn while also starring in the critically acclaimed I, Tonya and The Wolf of Wall Street, to name a few projects. Well, it now seems that Robbie will be expanding her wings to swoop into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That’s at least according to a recent rumour.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the next MCU release.

As reported by GGRecon, Robbie may be landing a role in the MCU as Sue Storm in the latest and upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four. This rumour is just the latest in recent weeks regarding the casting choice of Sue Storm, as well as Reed Richards.

In April 2023, it was speculated that Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) would play Reed Richards with either Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Mila Kunis (Black Swan), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) or Allison Williams (M3Gan) in the running to play Susan Storm. Now, of course, Margot Robbie has been thrown into the speculative hat of contention.

Of course, we must take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, any one of the names mentioned above would make for an excellent casting choice. However, as it's proven in the past, excellent casting choices do not always result in an excellent film, hence why this isn't the first Fantastic Four reboot.

At the time of writing, Fantastic Four will kick off Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is scheduled to release in cinemas on 14 February 2025. Long before that time arrives, the next MCU movie to hit our big screens is this week with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.
