Captain Jack Sparrow's LEGO Pirate Ship is finally available to pre-order, but shoppers will have to wait a little longer than expected to get their hands on it.

Made up of 2,862 pieces, the iconic POTC vessel comes in at £299.99 and can be ordered from the official LEGO website here.

But the estimated shipping date is now listed as November 7 in the UK, with US and European shoppers being told the item will ‘ship in 60 days’.

It's a significant delay on the original shipping date, according to Brick Fanatics, who report it was listed as October 7 just a few days ago.

What to expect from Captain Jack Sparrow's LEGO Pirate Ship

Adventure awaits as Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship finally sets sail as part of LEGO’s Icons collection.

The Disney collab captures the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean vessel in all of its glory from bold pitch-black sails to minute details, such as deployable cannons on the port and starboard, and a captain’s wheel that steers the rudder.

Elsewhere, the working ship’s deck can be opened to reveal a furnished captain’s quarters, complete with candlesticks, maps, and an apple for when Sparrow or Hector Barbossa need a breather.

You can even lock your loot away from prying eyes in one of the vessel’s secret compartments, or escape from the fray with your chest of treasures using the detachable rowboat.

Excitingly, the boat’s hull can be separated at the waterline to depict the ship in full sailing mode.

Let the dove-holding angel figurehead from the beloved films guide the way to victory. The decorated minifigure adorns the ship’s bow, providing a nostalgic nod back to the five Pirates of the Caribbean films.

What’s more, collectors can rejoice as the pirate playground comes with a solid crew of eight more LEGO minifigures to add to your dynamic collection.

These are:

  • Hector Barbossa
  • Jack Sparrow
  • Will Turner
  • Elizabeth Swann
  • Joshamee Gibbs
  • Anamaria
  • Cotton
  • Marty

Each minifigure is modelled after its on-screen counterpart, allowing fans to recreate iconic moments from the Disney franchise or take their favourite characters on a new, thrilling sea-faring expedition.

The 18+ tribute, available now on back order, can be mounted on its angled stand or set in motion in its dedicated sailing mode.

This means it’s easier than ever to switch between your own action adventure or admiring the bounty you’ve purchased.

Speaking about the ghoulish design, LEGO Senior Master Model Designer Michael Psiaki said he worked hard to build a boat that could sail the seven seas in style.

“Whenever I am making compound geometric combinations like this, I spend a lot of time with trial and error,” he explained.

“I build 10 or 15 versions of an idea until I land on the right one.”

Psiaki also said that the intricate set offers builders a ‘wonderful’ making experience, with its elegant hull, opulent superstructure, sails, and rigging details.

“[It’s] such a mesmerising model that I just can’t stop wanting more of!,” he added.

That means LEGO Insiders - members of the company’s loyalty club - will get around 2400 Insider points for taking on this voyage of nostalgia.

More points mean greater discounts on other LEGO products. And the more the merrier, right?

However, if you can’t wait that long or just want to add to your sea-obsession, then there are a handful of other boat sets available on the LEGO website.

Alongside Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship, there’s a replica of The Going Merry Pirate Ship (£119.99) from Netflix’s One Piece, a jaw-dropping version of the HMS Titanic (£589.99), and the Temple Bounty airship (£179.99) from Lego NINJAGO Dragons Rising.
