Forget Cocaine Bear, Crackoon is now the new greatest movie title of all time. Change our minds!
As the name of the movie quite clearly suggests, Cocaine Bear is about a bear that takes cocaine and goes on a brutal murder spree. Unbelievably it is based (very loosely) on real events. It also just so happens to be the late, great Ray Liotta’s final movie before he passed away in May 2022.
To much surprise, Cocaine Bear became an overnight success even before the movie was released in February 2023 with its epic announcement trailer which perfectly captured the tone of this wonderfully weird comedy.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Cocaine Bear garnered somewhat respectable scores of 67% from critics and 71% from the audience. What’s more, it also proved to be a commercial success grossing over $89 million from its $30+ million budget.
At the time of writing, while there are no plans just yet for Cocaine Bear 2, as reported by Dexerto, screenwriter Jimmy Warden said that there is “definitely” potential for a sequel. So, until that sequel may or may not arrive, how about we get a hit from Crackoon instead? Yes, that is now a thing.
As reported by our friends at UNILAD, a movie about a Raccoon that is addicted to crack and goes on a killing rampage, is now on the way. Produced by indie movie studio, Fuzzy Monkey Films, Crackcoon doesn't have a release date at the time of writing, but its filming is expected to wrap up this month. So we shouldn't be waiting long until it arrives. In the meantime, check out its wacky trailer below.
We can’t help but wonder which crazed animal movie will be next. Can we have a pill-popping Spidermonkey or a magic mushroom devouring Meerkat, please? The way things are going, both will probably happen at some point.
