Terrifier 2 has been dominating pretty much every conversation about horror films lately. The slasher found itself making headlines last month after apparently causing audiences to pass out and throw up upon viewing it, which is hardly my idea of a good time, but you do you.
The film has now been put forward for Oscar consideration (purely to mess with the judges, supposedly), and is now available to watch in the UK via Prime Video after it was deemed “too extreme” for cinemas. Now though, as reported by We Got This Covered, attention has been turned to a different horror film which might have passed you by.
Spoiler alert - it’s Haunt (2019). Take a look at the trailer below.
Haunt (2019) is a slasher movie which follows a group of friends venturing into a haunted house, facing the horrors of the evil masked clown fellas lurking within. From that one-sentence synonym alone, it’s probably immediately apparent to you that the film doesn't exactly have a groundbreaking plot, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good time - fans on Reddit have recently been singing its praises and giving it the attention it always deserved.

“It's not very original, I'll give you that, but it's interesting, it's very unpretentious, well made and it has some good scary elements, it's also very violent,” one said. “It's probably no one's favourite, but I liked it, and I never like anything. Have my recommendation.”
“Love this movie. Not a brilliantly nuanced masterpiece or anything, just a fun, nasty flick to throw on on Halloween. ‘Unpretentious’, like you said,” added another. “I came across his movie completely [randomly] just looking through genres on Amazon. I tell everyone I know (who loves horror) about it. The most pleasantly surprised I ever been going into a random movie that didn’t get any press,” another user wrote.
Like Terrifier 2, Haunt is available to watch on Prime Video in the UK if you're interested.
