Season four of The Boys has only recently concluded but it seems that the release window for season five may have already been revealed in a new teaser.
It’s been confirmed that season five of The Boys will be its finale and I’m ok with that because all good things must come to an end and at least the producers of the Amazon Prime Video show have an end in sight to wrap up its story.

The Boys live-action series is based on the comic book series of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and the Amazon show became an instant hit when it launched in 2019.

Its story centres on a not-so-heroic group of “Supes” puppeteered by Vought International and a team of humans, collectively known as “The Boys” that aim to bring the supes back down to earth and expose the corruption of Vought International once and for all.
I won't give any spoilers away here but it’s fair to say that in the final episode of season four, the proverbial poop hit the fan in a big way and now we eagerly await season five but it seems that we could be in for a very long wait.
In an Instagram post on the official Karl Urban account, who plays the endlessly charming Billy Butcher, featured a bloody image on set with the confirmation of when we can expect to watch season five of The Boys to arrive.

“Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the best part of my day, every day. That’s all The Boys for now folks. See you in… two years (wish it was sooner) for the final season on Prime Video,” Karl Urban said in the post.
It will be a painful wait for fans, especially after that season four cliffhanger but with this being the final season of The Boys, it’s of the utmost importance that the series goes out on a high, as it richly deserves when it apparently concludes in 2026.
