Tomb Raider is officially returning (again) this September

Lara Croft just can't stay away this year

Earlier this year, the original Tomb Raider games were re-released and remastered on modern platforms, but only in a digital form. Now, however, it has been announced that a physical version of the titles will be released later this year, with three different versions available to fans.

The Standard and Deluxe editions of the game can be purchased from the usual retailers such as GAME in the UK, and Gamestop in the US. The standard edition of the title comes with the three remastered original Tomb Raider games, while the deluxe edition of the game also comes with a steelbook, an exploration map book, a collectible tuck-in box and the full original soundtracks for each of the three remastered games.

Take a look at the trilogy in action below.

The collectors edition of the classic games retails at $199.99, and is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It's only available at Limited Run Games, and comes with the following (in addition to a physical copy of the actual games):

  • Steelbook
  • Two replica Lara Croft pistols in a lit shadow box
  • Three 12 by 16 posters, one for each game
  • Set of premium trading cards
  • Physical and digital editions of the original soundtrack for each game
  • A map book
  • Three Lara Croft polygonal figurines

The physical version of the title will be released September 24, 2024, with pre-orders for the Limited Run Games exclusive Collector's Edition ending in June, so if you want that edition of the games then you should probably order it sooner rather than later.

The release comes as Amazon Prime announces a new TV series based on the franchise, following the incredible success of their adaptation of Bethesda's Fallout franchise.
