Tomb Raider trilogy remake appears online ahead of official reveal

Lara is revisiting old haunts again

The time for a Tomb Raider revival is upon us, or so it would appear.

Having been pleasantly surprised by a remaster of the first three Tomb Raider titles, Lara Croft fans have been waiting for news about more classics being brought back to life.

We received that news roughly a month ago when it was announced that Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is due to be released in February 2025.

Upon hearing this, we assumed that this was the end of the thrilling Tomb Raider related news, but we were apparently wrong.

Lara Croft is back for more action in Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered.

Three days ago, the Tomb Raider Legend Trilogy Remastered appeared on Amazon.

It was certainly a shock for fans considering it seemed to come out of nowhere.

Naturally, fans asked whether this was a mistake or an early leak.

As much as we’d love this to be a leak that’s been revealed before its time, we don’t have enough details to confirm or deny this.

What is more, the listing that showed the copy of the game has since been removed.

The evidence for it being a mistake is stacking up when you take into account that the games referenced were all “top-down Lara Croft games”.

“Yeah this is almost certainly an error. It's referring to the three Lara Croft games (Osiris, Go, and the other one),” said jacktuar.

Others aren’t being so cautious, instead choosing to assume that the official announcement for this trilogy remaster is just around the corner.

User Adrian_FCD commented, “Yay! Anniversary is great and Legend is AMAZING, but really curious what they are gonna do to Underworld.”

Should this be nothing more than human error in action, that isn’t to say that remasters of the three games won’t eventually happen.

“That will probably happen after IV-VI remasters,” suggested gandalfmarston.

Let’s not rush the next remasters, for there are some classic experiences that should be savoured, like Angel of Darkness.

More Tomb Raider remasters might be on the horizon. However, until they’re announced we need to keep calm and carry on.
